This portrait takes inspiration from Mediterranean pine woods deprived of life by the forces of nature, mysteries of history and deforming potential of time. Created using different types of natural clay and finished with glossy or copper-effect glazes. 

The pale white of the girl figure contrasts with the blood red and the black background lined with shiny brocade frayed on the borders typically used in traditional Sardinian costumes. The purposely broken frame with a piece of structural iron wire visible in one corner highlight the shabby look.
